Typical Day

Although all day fishing or shooting can be arranged, most clients choose a mixture of the two in which case the programme for the day would be as follows:

break

9:00 to 9:30am: Guests arrive and leaving cars in the car park meet by the marquee next to the lake for coffee and introductions. The Owner and Shoot Director will explain the details of the morning shoot (including a short safety briefing) and then the guests walk the short distance to the clay shooting stands.

break

10am: The party take part in a practice at each stand and the instructors will help with advice on how to get the best results from your shooting. A friendly competition will then be arranged, normally between two teams (chosen by the participants themselves!)

break

12:30pm: The party return to the marquee where chilled champagne will be served prior sitting down to a three course meal with food and wines that were selected.

break

2pm: The party will be introduced to the fly fishing instructors and will given a demonstration on the art of casting a fly line. This takes place on the grass area and everyone will be able to practice their skill. Then guests have the opportunity of fishing both lakes with the anticipation of catching a trout (rainbow or brown). Rainbow trout caught will be cleaned (gutted) and boxed ready for people to take home to either cook or put in the freezer.

break

4:30 Afternoon tea is served and prize giving takes place. Departure is around 5:15pm.
